JUST MATHEMATICS COLLECTIVE

Do you want to join the JMC?

To be a member of the JMC you need to be available to organize, coordinate and/or participate in our activities. An active member typically participates weekly in meetings and actions.

The collective has agreed that an active member is someone who:

• Agrees to keep information discussed private.


• Protects the identities/anonymity of others in the collective.


• Participates in community and trust building activities.


• Attends meetings.


• Supports other members.


• Strives to participate with an abolitionist and anti-racist lens.


• Respects the labor of ourselves and each other with attention to equity, not equality.


• Interacts and organizes with respect & accountability in our community.

The JMC takes onboarding seriously. To take risks together, we need to trust each other, and trust requires a lot of active community building and being intentional about growing the collective with new members. So depending on what is going on for us around these considerations internally, it may take us some time to reply with more information on joining the JMC.
